Did you see teenage mezzo Faryl Smith sing the national anthem last Sunday at the Six Nations rugby match between England and France at a packed Twickenham stadium? Apparently the 13-year-old singing sensation has released the fastest-selling solo classical album.

The choirgirl from Kettering, Northamptonshire, who shot to prominence in the ITV show Britain’s Got Talent. The accolade as her first album is expected to break into the top 10, just one week after it was released.

Faryl signed a £2.3m record deal with Universal for the album, which features a version of Amazing Grace, a Welsh hymn and Ave Maria, the song that catapulted her to fame on Britain’s Got Talent.

What do you think of her?
